Dubkir Media, LLC, is a small Colorado-based business started by W Kirk Orndorff, offering high quality photographs and train videos. We have a wide arrange of photos for all, and we’ve traveled to many locations to give an in-depth look at some of the most unique rail operations in the country.

Kirk begain chasing trains at a very early age. He can be seen at just 3 years old in the Pentrex video about the Union Pacific E9s, and made two trips to Tennessee Pass before his 7th birthday.
He started filming trains with the family video camera at the age of 10 and received his first still camera at the age of 13. After two years, the jump was made to digital, and after another 3 years received his first DSLR as an 18th birthday/Christmas/High School graduation gift.
Kirk then went to Hastings College in Hastings, NE, where he studied broadcasting. This is where he learned all about the world of television, the high-end cameras they use, and the various editing programs used to get raw video on the air. In his spare time, Kirk spent hours upon hours sitting along the two rail lines running through town.

After college, Kirk got a job with Altitude TV in Denver, CO. While at Altitude, Kirk bought one of the same high-end cameras he used at college, and used Altitude’s generous paid-time-off policy to explore new areas to watch and chase trains, as well as visit some longtime favorites.

Kirk comes into this project with over 25 years experience chasing trains, almost 20 years of experience shooting video of trains, roughly 17 years of taking photographs, and thousands of hours sitting at a computer editing photos and videos.
We hope you enjoy what you find from the company!
