Description
The Kansas City Southern railroad began in the late 1800s, and ran as an independent railroad until Canadian Pacific announced its merger with the railroad in 2021.
Beginning at Kansas City’s Knoche Yard, we follow the railroad as it makes its way south, following the Pittsburg, Heavener, and Shreveport Subs before ending at Deramus Yard in Shreveport. The diversity along the line is unmatched: join us as we see power from all 7 Class-1 railroads, through the open fields of western Missouri, the Ozark Mountains in eastern Oklahoma, and the lush, tree-lined woods of southern Arkansas and northwestern Louisiana.
