Description
The Florida East Coast dates back to 1885, and ever since has been a unique railroad. Even after recently being purchased by Groupo Mexico, the FEC is a railroad unlike anything else on US Rails.
We begin in Jacksonville, FL, at Bowden Yard, and make our way south, ending at Hialeah Yard in western Miami. We see the railroad’s high-speed intermodal trains, their combination manifest-intermodal “mani-modals,” the high-tonnage rock trains, plus local freights and the new Brightline passenger trains. All of the railroad’s paint schemes on their ES44C4s, SD40-2s, GP40s and GP38s are represented thanks to multiple trips to the railroad.
